Education

One of the missions of the Society of Somatic Experiencing Slovenia is to educate and raise awareness of the professional and lay public about the nature of psychological trauma and ways of dealing with trauma in the professional and private environment.

As part of the association, we offer a variety of lectures, seminars and workshops for professionals and the lay public. We offer theoretical and practical knowledge on ways to deal with trauma and its consequences. Certain lectures are prepared in advance, but we can adapt the topic to your specific organizational needs.

Trauma has a very significant impact on all areas
of human existence, so we want trauma expertise to spread to
in the field of education, healthcare, social welfare, justice and in all other industries where work with people is at the fore.
For this purpose, within the framework of the association, we organize professional lectures, trainings, seminars, workshops and consultations that help to understand trauma and provide tools and techniques that are helpful in coping with trauma.
The SES association is also a meeting place for experts who already deal with trauma, for whom we organize advanced education and training in the field of work with trauma.
We can adapt the training to the needs of each group, but for more information, write to us.

Interview

Intervision is intended for professionals who want to consider and implement the principles of trauma work in their work with people of different ages. It is intended for professionals in various fields: psychotherapy, schooling and education, healthcare, emergency services, judiciary, police, social welfare, medicine, etc.

An interview is a discussion in a group of equal experts. It is a group learning method that focuses either on improving trauma treatment techniques or on improving the professional's personal functioning.

A great advantage of intervision is that the intervision process helps to use the full potential of the expertise, experience and skills available in a given group.

The main feature of SE intervision, which we offer within the framework of the association, is the mutual support and consultation of equal experts who encounter trauma and stress-related disorders in various fields of work. This form of collaboration provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge, opinions and experiences between different professions and creates an understanding and appreciation of the value that different disciplines bring to the treatment of trauma and stress.

The objectives of the interview are:

  • mutual professional support, in the sense of group thinking about problematic situations that professionals encounter in the field of work with trauma,

  • developing skills to deal with trauma,

  • help with insight into personal habits and patterns that affect work with clients,

  • creating space for reflection,

  • mutual emotional support and understanding, as working with trauma can be very tiring physically and psychologically,

  • developing a common safe space in which professionals can talk openly about the personal struggles we may be experiencing when working with trauma.
